- What are the veterinary/age requirements?
Our primary concern is the welfare of the pets. For this reason, we require that all pets are finished with puppy boosters AND have their first round of adult vaccines. We recommend boarding with a vet or using a house-sitter before your pet has their first round of adult vaccinations. For dogs, we require a rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccine along with some kind of PRESCRIPTION flea preventative. For cats, we require a rabies and feline distemper/FVRCP vaccine. We do NOT require any pets to be altered(neutered/spayed) in order to stay with us, but we do require that MALE dogs of ANY AGE be altered in order to partake in group play.
- How do I register my pet for boarding/daycare?
You may email us at countrysidemilton@gmail.com with any questions! We recommend inquiring about any desired dates as far in advance as possible so that we can ensure we have space available! If you would like to do a tour before booking, you are welcome to do so! We offer tours 7 days a week between the hours of 10am and 3pm. You do not need an appointment for a tour, but please email or call before heading over just to ensure that we have time to give tours.
- What do I need to bring for Boarding?
Countryside Pet Estates prefers owners to bring your dog’s food from home. Rapidly changing your pet’s diet and environment by boarding can cause stress and upset stomachs. We can provide our in-house food for an additional $5 per day (0-3 cups) or $10 per day (3+ cups), but would prefer to feed your pet his/her own food to avoid undue stress. If your pet requires medication, please bring medication in original prescription bottles and we will administer for FREE as directed. Your pet’s favorite blanket and toy are welcome, but please write their name on the items and limit to 2 total items – NO BEDS please.
- Why is my pet so thirsty upon getting home from a boarding visit?
It's natural and you should expect your pet to be a bit dehydrated from all the excitement once you get them home. While in our care, pets are monitored carefully for their consumption of fresh water, which is continuously checked and refreshed throughout the day.
- What time do I need to pick up my boarded pet?
Pets that stay overnight need to be picked up by 12:00 pm (EST) in order to avoid an additional boarding fee. Pets participating in Day Care need to be picked up prior to closing time or a boarding rate fee as well as any other fees will be applied for their stay. To ensure adequate processing, please to drop-off your pet one hour prior to closing time.
